Services
Counseling
The Showell Foundation, Inc. is founded on Christian principles, however, we do not discriminate against individuals because of their religion; we are able to help people from all walks of life and various denominations. Our goal is to provide professional counseling services to guide and support individuals who are seeking a change to promote a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle. Our staff is comprised of qualified counselors recognized by the State Board of Counselors, and certified members of ministry.
“Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou may be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.” (Prov. 19:20-21).
In today’s society we experience the increased stress of the world, the demise of the nuclear family, and with such comes a moral decline. Problems within marriages, families, schools and places of employment have generated a surge in violence, drug usage, and depression, to cite a few. As the pressures of the world continue to increase, how does one cope with the stresses of life? From whom should one seek advice and to whom should people turn?
“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” (Nahum 1:7)
Our purpose is to encourage and assist individuals to seek, grow, and solve problems through the love of Christ while providing them with the psychological and mental health tools to empower themselves and overcome adversities. We provide psychological counseling with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist individuals with sorting issues and overcoming life circumstances.
